Kate's Casa

Kate’s Casa is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, holding a 501(c)(3) status created to be an additional support for local immigrant families.

When you donate to us, 100% of your contribution goes directly to families in need locally and in El Porvenir, Guatemala. We don’t take a salary; instead, we focus on facilitating monetary donations and essential goods to ensure they reach those who need them most. Our streamlined process provides a transparent and easy way for you to see the real impact of your generosity.

Conversations At The Casa

At Kate’s Casa, we believe in the power of community and the importance of lending a helping hand. Our Conversations at the Casa program is designed to support families in need by providing essential items and services that can make a real difference in their lives.

Every Wednesday from 7 to 8 PM, families are invited to our office at 2200 Kimberton Rd, Unit 1, Phoenixville, PA 19460, where they can “shop for free” for the items they need.

What We Offer

We accept community donations of high-quality items in excellent condition, including clothing, shoes, baby equipment, kitchen items, beds, couches, and more. Thanks to our partnership with Mitzvah Circle, we also receive monthly donations of diapers, wipes, and feminine hygiene products.

For larger items and furniture, we can arrange pickups by appointment. Additionally, we send many of these donations to Guatemala, where our local contact distributes them to those most in need.

Empowering Families

Through the generosity of our donors, we also provide brand-new bilingual books to inspire a love of reading in any language. Conversations at the Casa is not just about giving away items; it’s a space where families can receive one-on-one support tailored to their specific needs.

Whether it’s finding affordable housing, accessing transportation, navigating taxes, seeking employment, addressing medical questions, or exploring educational opportunities like GED programs, we’re here to help. If we can’t provide the assistance needed, we work diligently to connect families with other amazing local organizations that can.

College Program

Support the Next Generation of Immigrant Scholars

At Kate’s Casa, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. As a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local immigrant families, we’ve seen firsthand the challenges that many students face in pursuing their dreams of higher education. That’s why we launched our college program, which provides financial assistance to help students attend college and unlock opportunities that will shape their future.

In 2024, thanks to our donors, we awarded $23,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors and college students. With your help, we can continue to empower more students in 2025. Your support will directly impact the lives of young scholars who are striving to overcome barriers and build better futures for themselves and their families.

By donating to Kate’s Casa, you’re not just contributing to a scholarship fund—you’re helping create a pathway to success for students who need it most. Together, we can make college dreams a reality for immigrant students in our community.

Sponsor A Child

Sponsor a Child and Make a Direct Impact Today

At Kate’s Casa, we believe that every child deserves access to the essentials no matter where they come from. Through our Sponsor a Child program, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children both locally and abroad.

How You Can Help:

Consider organizing a clothing drive with your company, church, youth group, or school project. Kate’s Casa is always in need of clothing and shoes of all sizes, and your donations will directly support children in need. From infants to teens, we ensure that every item finds a home with those who need it most.

Special Christmas Drive:

This holiday season, we’re running a Christmas drive to bring joy to children in Guatemala, as well as local teens and families. Your support will help provide much-needed clothing, shoes, and other essentials to brighten their holiday season.

By sponsoring a child through a clothing drive or contributing to our Christmas campaign, you’re not only providing essentials—you’re giving hope and comfort to kids who need it most. Ready to get involved?

Check out how you can make a difference this Christmas!
